While I agree in principle, most applications which use a .d directory for configuration _allow_ using digits for ordering, but also handle files with no digits at all (see apache2, for instance). If APT intends to differ on that, I believe this should be better documented and a warning should probably be shown when the file is found and ignored. What do you think?
