Package: dblatex
Version: 0.1.10-1
Severity: important
I think that none of the files in this directory is actually a
configuration file. One could argue about
/etc/dblatex/contrib/db2latex/param.xsl - I don't think it makes sense
to use this for site-wide customization, because any change would be
document-specific, but YMMV.
The other files, however, are not configuration files:
/etc/dblatex/contrib/db2latex/db2latex.sty A TeX input file, should be
in
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/
/etc/dblatex/contrib/db2latex/graphics/* TeX (graphics) input files,
should be in
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/graphics
/etc/dblatex/contrib/example/dbsimple.sty Either in
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/dblatex/
or in
/usr/share/doc/dblatex/examples/
This is a violation of a must-directive of the Policy (9.1.1), but
probably one of the cases recently discussed on -devel where the
severity should not be "serious" (and hence not RC).
Still this is a major annoyance. Not only is /etc/ cluttered with stuff
you never touch and don't want to backup with the rest of it. The fact
that the TeX input files are not installed in TEXMFMAIN makes the debug
option of dblatex useless with -T db2latex, since you can't process the
resulting intermediate tex file with (pdf)latex.
