I can confirm that this is the case for alpha:
$ ghci
ghc-6.6: not built for interactive use
$
And since ghc6 6.6 won't go into testing without a hammer until hs-plugins
is a candidate, and even *after* ghc6 (re-)adds support for ghci on these
architectures and has been tested we will still need hs-plugins updated to
take advantage of it, I think it is best to drop these binaries for etch.
