You are absolutely right, I should have been sending it a SIGINT.
However, that's not obvious when you're running a headless application
on the background. I'll look into adding that information to the
manpage, or patching the application to handle SIGTERM gracefully when
the latest version hits testing in ‒most likely‒ a couple days.
