Package: nvidia-kernel-legacy Severity: important recently i have replaced my nvidia graphic card with an ati one i removed (and i believe i purged as well) every package which was relevant to nvidia i attempted to install the fglrx driver but i received a warning that libglx.so couldn't be found. actually it was not listed in /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions so i reinstalled xserver-xorg-core which is supposed to provide that library. i checked again and still the library was missing i tried the following: topolino:~# dpkg -S libglx.so diversificato da nvidia-glx-legacy da: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so diversificato da nvidia-glx-legacy a: /usr/lib/nvidia/libglx.so.xlibmesa diversificato da nvidia-glx-legacy da: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so diversificato da nvidia-glx-legacy a: /usr/lib/nvidia/libglx.so.xlibmesa
so i just copied /usr/lib/nvidia/libglx.so.xlibmesa into /usr/lib/xorg/extensions renaming it in libglx.so and got the 3d but by no means i judge it to be the best solution to the problem actually i think it is the worst. thanks aldo System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
