No, you're misunderstanding me here.

It makes 10 steps of one or two each, depending on what it's at at that
particular point in time. E.g., if I set brightness to 100% and go back,
then pbbuttons sets brightness at 100, 87, 74, 62, 49, 37, 24, 11, and 0.
That's 9 steps; I would prefer to have 15 steps instead.
