Package: coreutils Version: 5.97-5.2 Severity: wishlist Hi, I would really like to have an option to sort by IP address (IPv4 and IPv6). The existing solutions (e.g. "-t. -n -k1,1 -k2,2 -k3,3 -k4,4") are not really usable if the IP address is not the first field and are also very clumbsy. Sorting by date would be nice too, but is more complicated due to whitespace in dates.
If I write a patch, should I submit it to you or to upstream?
