I noticed this during translating of the current Debian Weekly News and try
to report all issues I found this way ...

Indeed, this is why I think you are wrong (but I'm no native speaker).

"toilet displays large colourful characters in text mode"

Otherwise I assume you talk to the user. (Please display large
colourful characters in text mode to ...)
