Package: pngcrush
Version: 1.6.4-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
Hello,
I know! I'm the maintainer but I can't see a fix right away!
After the recent upgrade of libpng (presumably 1.2.13 I haven't been
able to check it fully yet) pngcrush is broken:
$ pngcrush logo.png
pngcrush: relocation error: pngcrush: symbol png_iCCP, version PNG12_0
not defined \
in file libpng12.so.0 with link time reference
Looks like libpng devlopers made some more API changes!
Note that the package does not build anymore with the libpng12-dev
that is currently in "etch".
We need to fix "pngcrush" by contacting the upstream developer who is
also one of the main developers for "libpng".
Regards,
Kapil.
