I am surprised that you judge this a "major" new upstream release. But
sure - if it breaks ikiwiki then by all means let's avoid it slipping
into Etch. Thanks for stopping it in time!

A new (minor, as I interpret the version number) upstream version was
released today, and I have now packaged it for Debian unstable. It is
also available at my own server ere:
http://debian.jones.dk/auryn/pool-sid-all/official/libcgi-formbuilder-perl/

The upstream changelog contains this:

Please test if it solves the issues you have with the library - Perhaps
your struggle with creating workarounds in ikiwiki is no longer needed?

I have not yet found time to enable the CGI part of my ikiwiki sites, so
am unable to test myself the disasters you claim that the new version
causes for your great software.

Kind regards,
