Hi, I found this in /etc/init.d/kdm : KDMRC=/etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc BACKGROUNDRC=/etc/kde3/kdm/backgroundrc KDMOVERRIDEDIR=/etc/default/kdm.d KDMCFGDIR=/var/run/kdm KDMCFG=$KDMCFGDIR/kdmrc BACKGROUNDCFG=$KDMCFGDIR/backgroundrc
This means the configuration files must be placed in /var/run/kdm (I tried and it worked as I wanted), I think this is a very bad thing according to http://www.pathname.com/fhs/pub/fhs-2.3.html#VARRUNRUNTIMEVARIABLEDATA (which is supposed to be a kind of standard) Maybe there is a very good reason I ignore but else this seems grave ! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
