xmess (this would apply to xmess-sdl or xmess-x equally) breaks gamegear emulation in version 106. I know this from seeing the effect here, and it is confirmed in this bugreport in mess' bugzilla: http://bugzilla.mess.org/show_bug.cgi?id=967 . Based on the date it was resolved, and my own testing of later versions of mess, it was fixed between 110 and 111. Of course, no versions of xmess exist after 106, but perhaps the change they applied to fix gamegear (it seems like it was a simple one) could be ferreted out and applied to xmess 106. Barring that, it would be great to see sdlmess/mame replace xmess/mame in debian, as it is actually still maintained upstream. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages xmess-sdl depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libexpat1 1.95.8-3.3 XML parsing C library - runtime li ii liblircclient0 0.8.0-9 LIRC client library ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.11-7 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii xmess-common 0.106-1 Support files for the Multi Emulat ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime xmess-sdl recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
