OK, I suppose they don't have enough additional swap either. I tested the footprint on i386, and I don't think it was nearly that large with -O2. I assume gcc on amd64 uses a lot more RAM. In any case, I probably won't be able to deal with this for a week or two, so if you (or anyone else) would like to NMU (to use -O0 on amd64), please do. I was really hoping to get 0.11 into etch, but I'm not sure that's possible anymore. It took longer than I thought it would to get the change in the architecture list accepted.
