Hi, The vsftpd FTP server refuses (silently) the login if the username has more than 32 chars. The limit is defined in defs.h. Maybe we could consider raising this limit a bit, and at least return a proper error in the logs (pam accepts the login, but vsftpd just says "LOGIN FAILED").
