Since you might have better clue of what to look at I've straced and logged all traffic to the xvnc4server. Find them under http://www.onerussian.com/Linux/bugs/vnc.clipboard/ http://www.onerussian.com/Linux/bugs/vnc.clipboard/vnc4viewer.strace.0.txt.bz2 http://www.onerussian.com/Linux/bugs/vnc.clipboard/vnc_stream.0.dat.bz2 I could not spot any part of the string I placed into clipboard which must had been 1. ending with "enko," -- I don't remember where I started to select it selected by mouse in mrxvt window, and then pasted also into xclipboard window 2. "Puppa" - entered in aterm and selected with mouse, click-pasted into xcliboard 3. URL having part arjlover.net - "Copy"ied from firefox url bar, pasted into xclipboard Also I've tried to attach to running already xvnc4server using xtightvncviewer -- the same store - even though I explicitely invoked clipoboard actions from the VNC menu invoked by F8 Then I attached strace to running already vnc4 server and entered 2 strings 1. EnteredInAterm -- was entered in aterm and then selected with mouse (not pasted in xclipboard app) 2.
