The real problem is DDP web page is build on a machine with old tools.
We do not have access either.

Actually, since I updated many minor points, there are good deal.  I
think it was -s option back then.  I do not know if DDP machine have
that option or not.  Hmmmm... maybe that is the reason why some build
fails with maint-guide.  Eurika!
