tags 300522 sid thanks This bug only shows up in sid, where gettext has been upgraded to version 0.14.2-1. The AM_LC_MESSAGES macro has been renamed to gt_LC_MESSAGES in this version, and gal expects this macro to be available from an external source.
Currently, the best fix for this is to include a verbatim copy of the needed macro in the macros/ directory, so that it's always available. Updating the code to use gt_LC_MESSAGES instead is possible, but only once the updated gettext is in testing, which I currently don't expect to happen for sarge. Post-sarge, this hopefully won't be an issue at all; I hope we'll be phasing out the old packages still using gal before the etch release. Cheers, -- Steve Langasek postmodern programmer
