Package: digikam Version: 2:0.8.2-3 Severity: normal Hi,
Some time ago, at least 6 month ago but I can't be more precise as I don't know exactly when the problem started, Digikam use to set the date of the downloaded files to the date the picture or movie was taken by the camera. This way, it was easy to change movies name to hold the date, with a shell script. This is needed because, contrary to JPEG files with exif extensions, MPEG movies do not have any date header. Some weeks ago I noticed that Digikam gives the current date and time to the pictures/movies I download from my camera :( I therefore no longer know when a film was taken. Is it possible to reverse this regression and make digikam change the item's date during download? I'm using a Canon Powershot G3 camera.
