Hi Li, I can't reproduce your issue with FreeMind 0.8.0 resp. the beta of 0.9.0.
Could you please try to install one of both and check if you still get the issue? (the debian 0.8.0 packages on the FreeMind homepage are also from the me, so the quality should be equivalent ;-) ). Check http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/FreeMind_on_Linux for more details. Note: the reason for not having a more recent version in Debian are license reasons. 0.9.0 should make it into Debian!
