Yes - I'm sorry but I must report that the deamon still hangs with the kill switch turned on. I just tested with linux-image-2.6.18-4-686 (2.6.18.dfsg.1-10), ipw3945-modules-2.6.18-4-686 (2.6.18+1.1.3-4) and ipw3945d (1.7.22-3). Thanks for keeping an eye upon this issue!
