It doesn't look like you're using Debian's apropos command at all; I
don't know where yours came from. apropos in man-db has supported
--debug ever since I started maintaining it in 2001. Try 'which apropos'
and 'apropos --version'; also please show me the output of 'dpkg -l
man-db'.
