The behaviour of firefox has changed for me. Unfortunately, I do not know what I have done to cause this change. Anyway, what now happens is: When a checkpoint is made, I do not get any warnings that firefox-bin did not save its state. However, when I shutdown the session and restart it later, the state of firefox-bin is not restored. In fact, firefox is not restarted at all. My .xsession-errors notes that --- snip --- The application 'firefox-bin' lost its connection to the display :0.0; most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed the application. Xsession: X session started for daniel at Thu Feb 15 11:24:11 CET 2007 --- snip --- so it appears that firefox doesn't even shut down gracefully.
