This looks like a kernel problem seen before, some driver confusion after the DMA speed test of cdrecord ran through. In wodim, I added a workaround so you can set CDR_NODMATEST environment variable to forbid it but the real problem is still out there. Since you use some GNOME cra^wtool, you need to make sure that the variable is set before the application started. Set it somewhere in /etc/environment or so.
