I am not sure why mako claims I do not want to upload this. I just do not have time to prepare the packaging in the near future, nor the need. I am happy to review and sponsor uploads if wanted. I think not packaging it myself is also a good habit which helps avoid DDs from flooding debian with their own unrequested software.
As you might expect, I disagree that a perl script is as robust and flexible as the simple shell script approach, although it does have other features.
