Thanks for the reminder. Although next release (texlive 2007) will
feature more or less only pdf documentation, I will check on this
script.
One more thing: Maybe your configuration is deliberately like this, but
the following files can create big problems:
/home/rrt/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf
/home/rrt/.texmf-var/web2c/updmap.cfg
