Hi Peter,
If you set ControlMaster via your ssh config:
.ssh/config:
Host *
    ControlMaster auto
    Controlpath ~/.ssh/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:%p

you will get 'svn: Can't write to connection: Broken pipe'
when doing svn log but svn up and other subversion commands will work fine.
This for sure just happens with svn+ssh.

You can find an strace -f -s 512 on: http://nion.modprobe.de/svnlogpipe.txt
