Hi, I must confirm this for my virtual host running unstable Debian Sid. My box (domain0) is Debian 3.1 Sarge with kernel from backports: linux-image-2.6.18-4-xen-686 2.6.18.dfsg.1-10~bpo.1
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a Linux bobek 2.6.18-4-xen-686 #1 SMP Tue Feb 6 05:52:02 CET 2007 i686 GNU/Linux I have configured a virtual domain named sid. I don't have specified hardware (MAC) address in xen configuration file of this domain. Xend generates random MAC address for every start of domain sid. After upgrade udev 0.105-1 -> 0.105-2 virtual eth interface change number after every restart. There is a huge number of records for Xen virtual device (vif) in file z25_persistent-net.rules, mentioned in previous message. Many older records have all NAME="eth0", but several last records have incremented numbers eth1, eth2,... (0.105-2) I don't have idea, if every-changing MAC address is problem... I will try to fixate MAC address to some nice value now. :-) -- Zito -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
