I tested the patch, it seems to fix it; I was able to test 3 nodes briefly before my vmware ESX installation croaked for other reasons (I hope).

I applied the patch above with something like this, fyi:

cd /usr/src
apt-get build-dep redhat-cluster-modules-2.6.18-3-686
tar jxvf redhat-cluster.tar.bz2
cd modules/redhat-cluster/gfs/gfs
patch -p4 </usr/src/patch
ignored the missing gnbd file (not using gnbd)
cd /usr/src
tar jcvf modules redhat-cluster2.tar.bz2
apt-get source redhat-cluster-modules-2.6.18-3-686 --compile
dpkg -i redhat-cluster-modules-2.6.18-3-686_2.6.18+1.03.00-4_i386.deb
