Where's the difference between kernel versions? :) Anyway, since the current upstream versions don't exhibit this problem together and fixing xf86-video-intel for old Mesa would break current Mesa, I don't intend to do anything about this upstream. Also, since no version of Debian ships the problematic combination of kernel, xf86-video-intel and Mesa, I'm not sure it's even worth doing anything about it in Debian packages.
