The new default icon looks quite ugly on GNOME as well, both on the
desktop and in the panels.

The old 48x48 green icon was replaced on the desktop by a 32x32 icon,
appearing very small compared to other icons. Resizing the icon makes no
sense as it is a bitmap.

Please provide good quality icons, or, better, SVG file that can be used
directly as icon on GNOME (I guess it is the same on KDE, but have no
idea on other desktops) - freedesktop standards[0] say SVG support is
optional.
