Package: quagga Version: 0.99.6-2+3ilk1 Severity: normal
The currently used smux options will no longer work so remove them! See /usr/share/doc/quagga/README.Debian for more information. dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/quagga_0.99.6-2+3ilk1_i386.deb (--un pack): subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 1 Its Line 71-75 in quagga.preinst which does an exit 1 if some smux option occurs in /etc/quagga/*.conf This might be ok for the standard package which has snmp not compiled in. But it should not be for recompiled packages like described /usr/share/doc/quagga/README.Debian I think some big warning should be enough, or a prompt with possibility to continue, or an additional notice in the README.Debian not only to "export WANT_SNMP=1" before recompiling but also to modify the preinst script. but nevertheless, this is not really tragic and i appreciate your work on the quagga package regards, matthias -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11.12-routeserver Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages quagga depends on: ii adduser 3.63 Add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii iproute 20041019-3 Professional tools to control the ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22sarge5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcap1 1:1.10-14 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libpam0g 0.76-22 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libreadline5 5.0-10 GNU readline and history libraries ii libsnmp5 5.1.2-6.2 NET SNMP (Simple Network Managemen ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3sarge4 SSL shared libraries ii logrotate 3.7-5 Log rotation utility -- debconf information: * quagga/really_stop: true * quagga/upgrade_notes: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
