You need CONFIG_X86_MCE=y, but I'm unsure it exists for anything else
but x86-64 (which includes P4 w/EM64T).

I think that, for non-x86-64 architectures, the kernel still happily
decodes the MCE -- at least on i386, I couldn't find any reference to
(10,227) in the MCE handling code.
