Hi,

The ipw2200 driver supports a kill switch that shuts off wireless LAN
completely. When the switch is used,
the device appears as if it had no wireless extensions.

When I activate this switch (saves a lot of battery when on the train), the
statusbar continues to display
the last association, and even after activating WLAN again does not change
anymore.

It would be nice if the status display would show something like "WLAN
disabled" while the kill switch is
active, and if it would notice when the WLAN device comes back and started
updating again.

   Simon
