Package: mysql-server Version: 5.0.32-7etch1 Severity: normal
The problems named in http://ozlabs.org/~anton/linux/sysbench/ and http://jeffr-tech.livejournal.com/6268.html#cutid1 are making the mysql-server really slow. Jobs which should run in about 1 hour need 4 hours. We could fix the problem using the ugly hack named in http://ozlabs.org/~anton/linux/sysbench/ as advice: - compiling override_sched_setscheduler.c, but the name of the library has to start with "lib", for example liboverride.so - backporting google-perftools-0.8 - preloading mysql with liboverride.so and libtcmalloc.so -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-3-amd64 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages mysql-server depends on: ii mysql-server-5.0 5.0.32-7etch1 mysql database server binaries mysql-server recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
