Hello amaury and Cyril, Thanks for your reply. I believe Cyril was aiming for "minimum changes" in his patch, rather than the most elegant solution. That way we could be sure it wouldn't affect any other architectures (Cyril, please correct me if I am wrong). I'd be happy for you to talk to Cyril directly - are you happy to do that Cyril? If you'd prefer not to, just let me know and I'll upload the new version of AFNIX as normal. Cyril, do you have access to a GNU/kFreeBSD machine, or were you just monitoring the buildd log? I'm wondering how best to test it - would it just be easiest if I uploaded the new version to "experimental"?
