Given that this bug seems to only apply to 2.6 kernels, and there are no
precompiled module binaries for 2.6 in the archive, I tend to agree that
this is not RC.

Hmm, I guess there is a problem with 2.4+devfs as well; even so, there are
obviously issues outside the control of this driver that prevent autoprobing
the nvidia module when udev or devfs is in use, and I don't think this
should be grounds for keeping the package out of sarge.
