I think I got the wrong end of the stick last time I read this bug!

Yes, this makes perfect sense.

Much like the mozilla-plugin-gnash package installs the plugin to
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and then symlinks it to the other paths.

I'll add this tonight.
