Package: apache2.2-common Version: 2.2.3-4 Severity: normal
apache2-common in Sarge has modules called mod_auth_anon.so and mod_auth_dbm.so and installs .load files into /etc/apache2/mods-available/ (and symlink in mods-enabled) to load them. In the Etch version of apache2.2-common, these modules have been replaced with mod_authn_anon.so and mod_authn_dbm.so respectively, for which new .load files are installed. However during the upgrade the old .load files are not removed, resulting in Apache trying to load the now-non-existant modules during start-up which causes the start-up to fail. Removing these files allows Apache start-up after upgrade from Sarge to succeed. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16.17 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages apache2.2-common depends on: ii apache2-utils 2.2.3-4 utility programs for webservers ii libmagic1 4.17-5etch1 File type determination library us ii lsb-base 3.1-23.1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii mime-support 3.39-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap ii net-tools 1.60-17 The NET-3 networking toolkit ii procps 1:3.2.7-3 /proc file system utilities apache2.2-common recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
