Praveen, I should confess that the whole discussion on bugzilla.gnome.org is dense to me. Can you please 1. explain what is specific to Lohit in the bug? 2. The bug seems to arise due to problems caused by changing the rendering engine to suit lohit. Why should rendering engines have code specific to fonts? (agreed, the changes were made by proponents of Lohit, but what exactly is different between Rachana and Anjali on one hand and Lohit on other)? -- Mahesh T.
