Package: texlive-base-bin Version: 2007-3 Severity: important As the subject says: on my system, after upgrading from the old tetex packages, xdvi doesn't work any more:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/research$ xdvi teach.dvi Can't exec "xdvi.bin": No such file or directory at /usr/bin/xdvi line 87. xdvi: xdvi.bin terminated abnormally: -1 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/research$ ls -l /etc/alternatives/xdvi.bin lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 2007-03-07 03:02 /etc/alternatives/xdvi.bin -> /usr/bin/xdvi.real [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/research$ /usr/sbin/update-alternatives --display xdvi.bin xdvi.bin - status is manual. link currently points to /usr/bin/xdvi.real /usr/bin/xdvi-xaw.bin - priority 30 Current `best' version is /usr/bin/xdvi-xaw.bin. I didn't do any manual configuration of that alternative before upgrading, though.
