Package: centericq Version: 4.20.0-2 Severity: important
In MSN, contacts are not showing up as online when they are (e.g. users who verify out-of-band that they are online do not show up in the contact list, and connot be messaged), or show up as online in the contacts list even when I'm disconnected. Also, messages aren't always being passed--no doubt due to the the faulty status of the contacts. Outgoing messages to contacts remain queued as offline messages indefinitely, and no messages can be received from online buddies. Note: this problem appears to affect certain instantiations of centericq on a multiuser system, while other users appear unaffected. No configuration differences seem to exist, however, and all are using the same version of centericq. This would seem to point to a problem with the MSN server interface or the internal state of the individual contacts. The severity was marked important as lack of proper MSN functionality seriously degrades the utility of the package, although other services (e.g. AIM and Yahoo) remain usable. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages centericq depends on: ii centericq-common 4.20.0-1 A text-mode multi-protocol instant ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcurl3 7.13.1-2 Multi-protocol file transfer libra ii libgcc1 1:3.4.3-12 GCC support library ii libgnutls11 1.0.16-9 GNU TLS library - runtime library ii libgpg-error0 1.0-1 library for common error values an ii libgpgme11 1.0.2-1 GPGME - GnuPG Made Easy ii libidn11 0.5.13-1.0 GNU libidn library, implementation ii libjpeg62 6b-9 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libncurses5 5.4-4 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3 SSL shared libraries ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.5-8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-3 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
