Hi, I have been having trouble with this one for a long time too and was just planning to report it. There are several bug reports already, but they haven't really been addressed. For example:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=313041 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=141495 I understand that the maintainters position is that this is not going to be changed/fixed. The workaround for this problem, which as far as I can tell is not documented clearly anywhere, is to use a release version instead of a codename. In /etc/apt/apt.conf APT::Default-Release "4.0*"; I think that at least this should be refiled as bug against the documentation and documented clearly and _loudly_. A quick Google shows many many hits containing things like APT::Default-Release "sarge"; so the confusion is global. regards, Tzvetan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
