As explained earlier, this bug is caused by an outdated DRM driver in the kernel. The problem is being discussed at http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7767 It is still not clear when the right DRM will be merged in Linus tree, probably not in 2.6.21 since -rc6-git1 has been reported to *not* fix the problem. I am reassigning to the kernel and marking as fixed-upstream (even if it is fixed in upstream drm-driver, not upstream vanilla kernel).
