Package: mozilla-thunderbird
Version: 1.0-3

hi,

it seems my thunderbird can take up to half of the memory of my system. the
problem seems to appear when I write a new mail and then close it without
saving the mail.
a confirmation window appear and half of the memory of my system is taken. I
don't have this problem if this confirmation window doesn't appear by saving my
mail before closing it.

this is what top and free report after launching thunderbird : top :
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
4838 dabest 16 0 92864 37m 31m S 3.3 9.9 0:05.73 mozilla-thunder

free :
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 386700 229512 157188 0 9624 106160
-/+ buffers/cache: 113728 272972
Swap: 248968 66540 182428

then I open a new mail and then close the window without sending it the confirmation window appears : top :
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
4838 dabest 16 0 248m 195m 31m S 4.0 51.9 0:08.35 mozilla-thunder

free : total used free shared buffers cached

-/+ buffers/cache: 273736 112964
Swap: 248968 66540 182428

then I get back the memory only when I close thunderbird.
