I checked the sizes, for most of the packages there is no problem as the documentation part is not toobig. THe cases where we could think bout generating it's own -doc file are: texlive-latex-extra_2007-3_all.deb 20M texmf-texlive 104M doc texlive-humanities_2007-3_all.deb 1.5M texmf-texlive 11M doc texlive-latex-base_2007-4_all.deb 7.7M texmf-texlive 37M doc texlive-latex-recommended_2007-4_all.deb 13M texmf-texlive 24M doc texlive-metapost_2007-5_i386.deb 1.9M texmf-texlive 11M doc texlive-pstricks_2007-3_all.deb 2.0M texmf-texlive 32M doc Maybe also ... texlive-pictures_2007-4_all.deb 2.6M texmf-texlive 7.3M doc texlive-publishers_2007-3_all.deb 6.0M texmf-texlive 16M doc texlive-science_2007-3_all.deb 2.0M texmf-texlive 9.5M doc texlive-xetex_2007-5_i386.deb 980K texmf-texlive 3.0M doc oreven for *all* packages. I guess that this shouldn't be a big problem with respect to our scripts, but we should come to a coclusion if we want to do it or not.
