That's right. Why do you need 2 independent screens? You want to move in virtual desktops on one screen without moving on the other one? It looks like it might be something that window manager will have to implement on top of Xinerama (which is now implemented on top of XRandR 1.2). People seem to really push XRandR 1.2 nowadays...
