Package: reportbug Version: 3.37 Severity: minor
I submitted 2 bug reports with attachments yesterday, in both cases there were time delays and extra effort for the developers later asking me for attachments that are already attached in the BTS webpages. I suspect that the developers receive an emailed version of the reportbug report, where the attachments are missing. I notice these reportbug attachments are "attached" but not displayed in the webpages, but if i email an attachment (not using reportbug) then the attachments are displayed inline. I didnt notice until now that there is a choice to "include" or "attach" in reportbug. As the difference might be lost on some simple users like me, it might save some time for the developers if the "include" option is placed higher up in the menu, and put the "attach" at the bottom? attaching file test.txt thanks jim -- Package-specific info: ** Environment settings: INTERFACE="text" ** /home/jim/.reportbugrc: reportbug_version "3.17" mode standard ui text email "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" smtphost "mail.netspeed.com.au" -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: sparc (sparc64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.20-1-sparc64 Locale: LANG=en_AU, LC_CTYPE=en_AU (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages reportbug depends on: ii apt 0.6.46.4-0.1 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii python 2.4.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-central 0.5.13-0.1 register and build utility for Pyt reportbug recommends no packages. -- no debconf information
