Package: libcairo2 Version: 1.4.6-1 Severity: important Hi,
The problem I have with the new cairo lib is rather strange and hard to explain, but I'll give it a try. When I entered by GNOME session (default theme) I noticed that labels in Gtk widgets had strange colors (red, orange, green, purple, etc.) instead of their usual blackness. Also, in Galeon, a gecko-using browser, colors of website were wrong. I noticed that when I hovered over any of the text labels, switched tabs in my GNOME terminal, etc. the colors of arbitrary labels get randomized. I had to downgrade to libcairo2 1.4.4-1 to get rid of the problem. I have X in 16bit color mode, but it's the same in 24bit colors. Also have I tried running GNOME without the gnome-settings-daemon, then the problem does not appear. However, changing Gtk themes in GNOME with g-s-d enabled doesn't appear to help.
