I wish that inkscape would
1) somehow include skencil, or
2) depend on skencil, or
3) issue an informative error message
telling the user to install skencil
if she wants to edit a PostScript file.
It took a long time for me to figure out this mystery:
"Why can't inkscape open a PostScript file? I remember using
inkscape to edit a PostScript file a few month ago on
a different machine with the same OS (Debian testing)."
