Package: python-matplotlib
Version: 0.87.7-0.3
Severity: important

When generating simple line plots (using the plot() function) that
contain on the order of 10^5 points, all of the resulting plots (using
either PS or agg renderer to an EPS file) have a serious (more than 10%)
under scaling of all points.
This means that a plot with 50*10^5 points will have all points drawn
between zero and the 40*10^5 tick mark. No points are drawn beyond the
40*10^5 tick mark.
I will try rendering to PNG image to see if I can reproduce, but this is
still a major problem for EPS rendering.
